Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo| 东京椿山庄大酒店
Welcome to Tokyo! As you guys might have seen on our social medias, we spent some time in Japan since we wanted to experience completely different culture from what we knew so far. We choose Hotel Chinzanso for a few nights; a former Four Seasons Hotel. Hotel Chinzanso is an oasis in the heart of the urban landscape of the Japanese capital.
The Japanese gardens with the waterfalls, an ancient Pagoda, the ponds, and variety of millenary trees makes this place unique and totally worth it! You can smell the nature while enjoying the sounds of the birds or the waterfall. Definitely, peace and quiet moments are exultant in the buzzing Tokyo. Thus, and thanks to the possibilities the garden offers, Chinzanso is a trendy place for weddings and to have a totally different experience.
The rooms are really spacious, and some of them on currently refurbished. The 90C room is the best of them, offering view on the mythic garden and overtaking the city. There are different well-known Japanese restaurants where you can find the Kobe beef cooked over lava stone.
There is nothing much to do around. The neighborhood being quiet, it is hard to find a nice restaurant around. We tried our last night and we finally ended up moving to the city center by metro. A lovely 15min walk is required to reach the nearest public transportation, but is part of the charm of the hotel.
Our most enjoyable moment was having the breakfast with view, our table facing the garden and the pagoda! You can choose either Japanese, either Western breakfast. To be honest, we were reluctant with the idea of eating fish as soon as waking up. Therefore, every morning started our days in The Bistrot, appreciating the a-la-carte western cuisine. It was perfect! Starting with fresh yogurt covered of syrup, followed by eggs benedict with truffle cut in front of us, and crêpe spinach omelet. Delicious! Free flow of fresh smoothies, coffee and tea was completing the perfect way to start our day.
The service and staff is excellent, helpful and attentive to every single detail. I got sick upon our arrival. Without any request, the team sent shortly to our room warm tea and a fresh juice a kind hand written note. The hotels proposed other restaurants we did not have the chance to experience (some located in the garden, cooking traditional Japanese cuisine, charm full, quiet and confidential, another proposing English Style high tea...). Please have a look at their website here below to know more about it.
Stay tuned for our next stop in Tokyo, x.
